With Windows-based tablets, the line between tablets
and laptops has been dramatically reduced. But it's hard to find
affordable Windows 8.1 tablets in the market. To put it simply, Acer
isn't the only name in the Windows 8-based tablet game. Dell, HP, Acer
and a handful of other companies have played a strong role in promoting
Windows tablets.
Apparently, the Iconia W4 3G is being launched in India ahead of other countries, following the remarkable response received by its predecessor in the region.
The Acer Iconia W4 features an 8-inch 720p HD IPS display, and is powered by a 1.8 GHz quad-core Intel Atom Bay Trail T processor with integrated Intel HD Graphics coupled with 2GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card slot. The device runs on the latest version of Windows 8.1.
On the imaging front, the tablet has a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with Auto Focus and a capability to record videos in Full HD format. Also, add a 2MP front-facing video camera for long video chats.
The makers have added a 4960mAh battery fitted inside that can lasts up to 10 hours (browsing) on a single charge.
Other connectivity options include: 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, micro HDMI, and microUSB.
Additionally, you can also opt for an optional ultra-slim keyboard and cases for extra productivity and protection.
Furthermore, the device comes pre-installed with Microsoft Office Home and Student edition 2013.
