Talking about the specs of the handset, the latest CTRL V5 from Gionee comes with a 4.7-inch capacitive touch screen display offering a qHD resolution of 960 ×540 pixels.
The smartphone is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor and Mali 400 GPU coupled with 1GB of RAM. It runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) OS
Chinese smartphone manufacturers offer the best of the handsets when it is looked from the perspective of the price-performance aspect. Thus this one is not an exception as well. It features a decent 8MP Auto Focus rear camera with LED flash and 2MP front-facing shooter as well.
Obviously the device supports Dual SIM (GSM + GSM) with Dual Standby and other connectivity options include 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth and GPS.
Native storage capacity include 8GB which can be further expandable up to 32GB via micro SD card. Gionee CTRL V5 measures 8.07 mm thick and weighs 103.5 and draws its energy from a 1800 mAh battery.
The device is pretty decent and even the price is quite promising. However, there are number of devices which are already been selling like hot cakes in the Indian smartphone market like for instance Moto G and Xperia M. Thus the upcoming Gionee smartphone is likely to face a harsh competition from these particular smartphone.
We will let you know about the device's availability as soon as we get to know more about it. All you need to do is stay tuned!
