Nokia XL India Launch Date Set For May 1

When Nokia launched its first ever Android powered ‘Nokia X' series at this year's MWC, many argued that it was Nokia's strategy to win over its many loyal fans. Whatever the case may be, Nokia's X series is probably the last chance to run Android on Nokia. The series itself looks interesting- combining the strength of Nokia's fantastic hardware coupled with Microsoft's services and Google's Android OS.
Nokia X, the first Android-powered phone, was already made available in India long time back. In fact, Nokia has already reduced the retail price of Nokia X by Rs. 900 to retain consumer interest in the device. Nokia XL is now available at a price point of Rs. 7,000.
To further push the Nokia X series, the company will introduce the Nokia XL into India on May 1. The company today sent an invite to GizBot in wake of the launch of Nokia XL in India. In keeping up to the competition, Nokia is eager to launch the top end Nokia XL in India at the earliest.

Nokia XL To Be Priced Between Rs. 12,000 to Rs. 13,000?
In the meantime, an anonymous source close to GizBot informed that the Nokia will start delivering the Nokia XL to retailers in the first week of May.
That means you can purchase the handset in the first week of May. Furthermore, a high level source has now confirmed to us that the Nokia XL could be priced anywhere between Rs. 12,000 to Rs. 13,000. But, if this leak is to be believed, the closeness of the event means that retail price is close to final. However, at the same time, we'd like to clarify readers to take this rumor with a pinch of salt, as Nokia hasn't launched the phone yet in India.

Nokia XL Listed on Flipkart
Meanwhile, GizBot has spotted the Nokia XL being listed on Flipkart. Currently, the green colored Nokia XL has been found listed as ‘Coming Soon'. Neither the retail price nor the availability of the phone has been mentioned on the retailer's site. Watch this space for more action!
